I've made a display base for them, and also decided to leave one "rank &amp; file" guy out of the unit, to save a little bit of work. I used a cheap photo frame, plaster rocks and Vallejo texture gel to create the scene. I've made pictures of every step so I'll probably do a tutorial on this later on.

2011 saw a jump in traffic coming to my blog, 7500 more visits than 2010, good for a total of 22000.

A lot of traffic comes from my followers on the different platforms, the number of blogger followers nearly doubled, with 123 last year, and 240 now (scroll to the bottom of this page to find the blogger follow widget). Quite a big figure in fact, it shows that my skills with larger scale models need more practice. But it's a fun figure to paint. It's the first time I try out one of their figures and I'm a bit disappointed in a way. For some obscure reason the metal figure comes in 4 parts: legs, torso, head and the arms which hold a weapon. This edition was the very first DUZI I visited. I heard a lot about the event, that it was more historical oriented in the past, but in the last few years fantasy &amp; sf miniatures are on the rise. Overall it's a very nice: good location, wide selection of traders and a good painting competition.

A few posts ago I blogged about the beginning of autumn, but the last few days that season seems very distant. It's been exceptionally warm lately, so I decided to get the most out of it and drove to the seaside today to spend some time with my family on the beach :)

I always found the stairs too big for a 28mm figure. But since Bregan is a lot bigger than the average 28mm figure it perfectly suits the base. I added an extra touch to it with some skulls and plant roots.

As you might notice there are two desks. There's one for assembly and basing (that's my old desk) and dedicated desk for painting. This white table has regular legs on one side, and drawers on the other but these are mostly empty since my old desk offers plenty of storage space.
